Community Areas
We have many areas of the garden that are used and maintained by the community. This includes a:
- Herb Garden
- Bamboo Gathering Circle
- Picnic Table
- Plant Nursery
- Tool Shed
- Composting Toilet
- Compost Area
- Orchard
Bamboo Gathering Circle
We planted the bamboo in 2009 to create a circle of protection from the wind, rain, and sun. We hold meetings, classes, and events here.
Picnic Tables
The garden used to be a eucalyptus forest. When it was cleared in 2006, some of the stumps were left to create picnic areas, such as the one pictured.
Plant Nursery
The green house nursery is available for starting seeds and features an automatic mister.
Tool Shed
The tool shed houses the many tools and equipment available for use in the garden. The following tools are available in the tool shed for use in the garden:
- Shovels,
- Hoes,
- Wheelbarrows,
- Rakes,
- Lawn Mowers,
- Weed Whackers,
- Rototiller,
- Gloves,
- Tools, and
- Garden Supplies
Composting Toilet
The composting toilet is an environmentally friendly solution that saves water at the garden.
